Notes

Before starting, there are 2 ways to do this; brute force or treasure casket discovery.

By brute force I mean just go to a zone and mass murder everything in the zone and hope for the best. Think of it as having 0 TH and trying to get a drop.

By using treasure casket discovery, you can do Ground's Tome pages to hopefully get the prowess and then get pretty much 100% chest drop rate.

Either way works, just up to you, but this was completely done using the treasure casket discovery method. And also, this is just what I found easiest. If you find something that works for you, then that's great too!

I'm also using modified maps in game that show more details rather than original retail maps. You can however refer to retail wiki sites and the respective maps for guidance if you get lost. This was done mainly using a thief, a white mage, and a bard at 75 and 99, and when I was leveling, it was at least a healer and a dps and whatever else. - Pheliont

Boneworker's Torque - Temple of Uggalepih

This is the only one that is annoying and my recommended way requires a bit of prep work. Note: All of the pages here require defeating tonberries. Tonberry hate is a thing, so may as well reset it afterwards.

1. Recommended Way: Prelate Key/Granite Door

Page 5: 3 Tonberries, 3 Hover Tanks (Magic Pot) (Highly recommended).

OR

Page 6: 3 Tonberries, 3 Iron Maidens (Dolls)

Home Point Warp > Elshimo Uplands > Den of Rancor > #1. You start at Map 2. Follow the path south and look for Tonberry Slashers (NIN). They drop the Prelate Key (R/E, breaks upon use). If you have bad luck and run out of them and don't want to wait: Follow the path to A to get back to Map 1. Look for them there as well. Recommended to get 2 in case things go south. When you have as many as you feel comfortable, !warp out.

Outpost Warp to Elshimo Uplands. Mount and head south to Temple of Uggalepih 1. If you are low level, you need sneak/invisible. Once you zone in, head forward to the Ground's Tome and get your page of choice. Follow the path to Yhoator Jungle 2. Once outside, follow the path to Temple of Uggalepih 3. Once you are inside, follow the path to I-10. Note: another Ground's Tome is here if you need anything from it. Kill the Temple Guardian NM here (very weak at 119, needs trusts at 55 or so, I have no idea how strong this thing was in retail). Go up the stairs to the door at C or D (I went to D). Use key to go inside.

At D, you will find 4 Tonberries and 4 Hover Tanks. I kept my alts at the door, keeping them in cure range, for the most part, but outside of magic aggro range for the Hover Tanks. !cap, buff, and go to work. You can do the Iron Maidens, but they are spread out with Tonberries in between while the Hover Tanks are just there.

2. Alternative, not recommended way:

Page 1: 3 Tonberries, 3 Bees

Page 2: 4 Tonberries, 2 Rumble Crawlers

Page 3: 4 Tonberries, 2 Temple Opo-opos

You can do this while leveling, however there are a lot of aggressive and linking mobs. If you do this at !cap, then 55 mobs will check as easy prey, while 54 and below will be too weak, making this very tedious. Page 1 and 3 can be done on the 1st map at the entrance, while page 2 can be done on the second map (second zone in from Yhoator Jungle).

Tanner's Torque - Quicksand Caves

1. Recommended/Leveling way:

Page 1: 3 Sand Spiders, 3 Anticas

Page 2: 3 Helm Beetles, 3 Anticas

I started out at around level 40 with trusts. Since we level fast here, I made sure to take my time, no chains, no exp bonus, nothing, until I got the treasure casket bonus.

Outpost Warp to Kuzotz or !altep if you have the teleport crystal. Mount up and head to Quicksand Caves 1. Straight ahead is the Ground's Tome, grab page and whatever you may need. Follow the path to the big room. In the big room you will find the 3 anticas, as well as both 3 spiders and 3 beetles, so go after whichever you chose. In theory, you can do this to 75, but like above, these will check as too weak when they are 54. Anticas default range is 52-59, beetles is 51-58, spiders is 51-55. It never got that far for me though, but YMMV.

2. Alternate/!cap way:

Page 7: 3 Girtabs (Scorpions), 3 Anticas

Note: Will need to have enough weight for the pressure pads or do the Open Sesame quest from the goblin next to Altep teleport crystal.

Outpost Warp to Kuzotz or !altep if you have the teleport crystal. Mount up and head to Western Altepa Desert. Travel to the far southwest to Quicksand Caves 4. Enter and head forward to the Ground's Tome, get your page and whatever is needed. Follow the path to the center, opening the door using weight. !cap to 75. Inside you will find plenty of Anticas and 5 Girtabs. Note: Triarius X-XV is a lottery spawn Antica WAR NM that can spawn inside.

Carver's Torque - The Boyahda Tree

1. Normal exp. way. Can start at 50 with trusts or so and do this while leveling:

Note: !cap whenever you feel comfortable, you can !cap at entrance if you want or sync to 75 then cap. You do not lose Prowess when you !cap!!!. You can start at 50 with trusts and !cap to 99 and max merits here easily.

Start at Page 1: 3 Death Caps (Funguars), 3 Bark Spiders Note: Neither aggro, but both link to their respective families.

Move to Page 3: 4 Mourioches (Mandragora), 3 Moss Eaters (Rabbit) Neither aggro, but both link to their respective families.

Note on Page 3 camp: Beware of Unut NM. He is not aggressive but will link on sight. It is a lottery spawn off the rabbits here and at lower levels a link can wipe you.

Outpost Warp to Li'Telor, mount up, and head to The Boyahda Tree at 1. Follow the path to the Ground's Tome (past the first few mobs) and pick your page/buffs. If you start at page 1, just past the tome are both sets of mobs, just be aware of links.

Once you are sufficiently leveled, 60-65 with trusts, go back to book, get page 3 and buffs. Sneak/invisible up and follow the map to Unut's spawn at around F-5. Here you will find both the Mourioches and Moss Eaters. Again, if Unut spawns, be very careful. And around this area, crabs and goobbues are aggressive.

2. Alternative/old school skill up way:

Page 5: 3 Skimmers (Damslefly), 4 Steelshell (Crabs).

Note: !cap when you feel comfortable. Lots of aggro though; Goobbues by sight, mandies by sound, crabs by sound, etc. Mobs should be between decent challenge to maybe a few toughs.

Home Point Warp > Li'Telor > The Boyahda Tree > #1

Sneak/invisible up. Turn away from Cloister and head to D on the map for Ground's Tome. Get page/buffs. Head to tree in the center. On the east side of the tree you can have your mages climb up out of harm's way and pull what you want to the area. Depending on the job and your computer, you can pull a whole page to your camp.

Goldsmith's Torque - Den of Rancor

Page 8: 4 Tormentors (Lizard), 2 Bullbeggars (Opo-Opo)

!cap to 75. Note: These will check Even Match to Very Tough. The Tormentors are not aggressive but do link, while the Bullbeggars are aggressive.

Note: Do not cap until you are back at entrance! Outpost Warp to Elshimo Uplands. Mount and ride to J-7 to enter the Den of Rancor. You will be on map 7 when you enter. Follow the path noting the 4 Tormentors. Continue south past more of them and across the narrow bridge (don't fall) until you reach the Ground's Tome. Grab page/buffs, head back across bridge and towards entrance. Find a spot that feels good for you and get to work. Helps if you can range pull. Watch for special moves.

Alchemist's Torque - Ve'lugannon Palace

Page 2: 7 Evil Weapons.

Note: These are custom level on Caldera. They should check as decent challenge in library gear. With only a 109 weapon from sky and no armor, they are checking as incredibly easy prey and giving exp and are counting to the book. You may have to mix and match gear unfortunately. Keep higher ilvl equipment for when you get the treasure casket bonus.

Home Point Warp > Tu'Lia > Ru'Aun Gardens > #5. Warp down to the main island and enter the palace at 10. Follow the path to the Ground's Tome. Grab your page/buffs, continue on to the yellow switch. If it's not active, go ahead and hit it and follow the path north to the Brigandish Blade room. Note: The Detectors are aggressive here at 119. You will have a total of 6 evil weapons to do and with the ilvl limitations mentioned above, you should be making well timed loops depending on jobs. Once you get the treasure casket bonus, you can aggro the detectors and let them spawn up to 5 Caretakers each.

Weaver's Torque - The Shrine of Ru'Avitau

Page 5: 7 Evil Weapons.

Depending on what you what job types you want to fight, depends which way you will go: 1. Decorative Weapon - Warrior Home Point Warp > Tu'Lia > Ru'Aun Gardens > #5. Warp down to main island and go into the Shrine at point A. Watch for magic aggro if you are casting and watch for Despot on the way there. Once in, put up sneak, follow the path to the Ground's Tome, get your page/buffs, pick yellow or blue and get to work.

2. Aura Weapon - Red Mage Home Point Warp > Tu'Lia > The Shrine of Ru'Avitau > #1. Pop invisible to hide from golems. Run up the staircase at q to get to map 1. Head to the north to the yellow and blue switches and doors. On the way there you will see the Ground's Tome. Grab your page/buffs, pick yellow or blue and get to work.

Smithy's Torque - Ifrit's Cauldron

Page 6: 4 Nightmare Bats, 2 Volcanic Bombs

!cap to 75.

Home Point Warp > Elshimo Uplands > Ifrit's Cauldron > Home Point #1

When you zone in, head south and around to the northeast and you will be on map 7. Follow the path east (note the group of bombs and bats here) then south to point M. This is the Grounds Tome. Get what you need and backtrack a bit to where that group of bombs and bats were. This is your spot. I kept my alts to the north while I pulled on thief. There will be an odd number of enemies here, but there are a few extra around the general area.

Culinarian's Torque - Gustav Tunnel

Page 3: 3 Crabs, 2 Skeletons, 1 Goblin.

!cap to 75.

Outpost warp to Vollbow. In Cape Terrigan go to I-6 and zone into Gustav Tunnel.

You will be on the first map. Go to A (Grounds Tome here) leading to the 2nd map. At I-9 of the 2nd map, there is a small tunnel, just northeast of Wyvernpoacher Drachlox spawn area and it has another Grounds Tome here. This is your camp spot.

I left my alts there, and killed skeletons and crabs to the north and crabs and goblins to the south.

Fisher's Torque - Outer Horutoto Ruins

Page 7: 5 Fetor Bats, 1 Fuligo OR Page 8: 5 Thorn Bats, 1 Fuligo

This can be done at full geared 119 and get completion for pages.

Outpost or Book warp to West Sarutabaruta and head to the Amaryllis Tower of Outer Horutoto Ruins. Once in, book is right in front of you. Grab either page and head to the hidden wall at A.

Once inside get to work. The Fetor Bats are split up while the Thorn Bats are more clustered together.
